WHO
I am 32 years old, from South Africa. I have worked in Amsterdam and Japan, returning home to South Africa after 7 years abroad.
After receiving a full scholarship I lived in Japan for 5 years, completing a Masters degree in Sustainable Energy and Information Technology at Osaka University in March 2019.
During weekends I got to experience recreationally hands-on site exposure of Japanese wood with an architect friend of mine building his own house in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo.

YASUI
ARCHITECTS
At Yasui architects & engineers I worked on an underground train station in a team of 4 preparing drawings for construction.
It was a really great experience working in a whole new language that I just learnt a few years ago. I think its really fortunate that architecture is mostly a visual language - it works well for living and working abroad in a different language, because a column looks like a column in any country (for example).
